We started our cycling trip from Helle, following Helleveien and the Old Southern Road past Bjordammen. From there, we crossed the E18 at Plassen and continued onto Masterødveien. At Masterød farm, we joined the historic postal road from 1689, which can still be followed through large parts of the municipality. The road then turns toward Tore Bridge, where an old legend tells of hidden treasure in the bridge piers. From Tore Bridge, we continued on a gravel road almost down to Aråa before the route turned right along the Langsjø River, passing by Dammen. After Dammen, we took the first left, then another left, followed by a right turn – leading to a beautiful downhill ride toward Nordre Farsjø. Along the way there are several intersections, but everything was well signposted when we rode the route. From Farsjø, the trip continued on to Sannidal and back to Helle. A truly scenic cycling experience – though the highlight was definitely the stretch from Masterød to Farsjø.
