Daperheia

Heiområdet mellom Kartmyr og Våssved er kjent for sin naturskjønne beliggenhet. Ifølge Arne Myrstrand finnes det et par vassdaper på den nordligste heitoppen mot Kartmyr, som har gitt heia sitt navn. Vassdaper er små tjern hvor det pleide å bli vasket klær i gamle dager. De som bodde på Myrstrand, brukte ofte å ro ut til Fengesholmen, hvor det også fantes vassdaper. Daperheia byr på en fantastisk utsikt mot Portør. Her kan man nyte panoramaet og den vakre naturen. I tillegg har Daperheia en gammel trekantmarkering som ble brukt i landmåling og kartproduksjon. På bolten er det preget inn NGO.



The heathland between Kartmyr and Våssved is known for its scenic location. According to Arne Myrstrand, there are a couple of small ponds (called vassdaper) on the northernmost heath ridge toward Kartmyr, which gave the heath its name. Vassdaper are small tarns where people used to wash clothes in the old days. The residents of Myrstrand often used to row out to Fengesholmen, where there were also vassdaper. Daperheia offers a fantastic view toward Portør. Here, one can enjoy the panorama and the beautiful natural surroundings. In addition, Daperheia has an old triangulation mark that was used in surveying and mapmaking. The bolt is engraved with “NGO.”
