Havfjell

Det finnes flere stier i området rundt Havfjell, men ingen som går helt opp til selve toppen. Rundt fjellet ligger det flere flotte utsiktspunkter hvor man kan se ut over havet – noe som trolig har gitt fjellet sitt navn. Fra toppen av Havfjell har man vid utsikt mot kysten. Kan start fra Skjørtjenn eller fra Helle skole, retning Strandtjenn. Her tar av til høyre før man kommer frem til tjernet, i retning Arilds plass ved nedre Strandtjenn – et flott sted for en rast. Derfra følger man en fin sti videre gjennom Bjønndalen og opp til Havfjell. Et alternativt turmål er en rundtur rundt Bufjell, en løype på omtrent 8 kilometer med jevn og god sti hele veien. Fra Bjønndalen ved Bufjell går det en gammel traktorvei som antas å ha ført over heia, men denne er grodd igjen. På toppen finner man et trigonometrisk punkt.



There are several trails in the area around Havfjell, but none that lead all the way to the summit. However, the mountain is surrounded by beautiful viewpoints where you can see the ocean—likely the inspiration for the mountain’s name. From the top of Havfjell, you get a wide, scenic view of the coastline. You can start the hike either from Skjørtjenn or from Helle School, heading toward Strandtjenn. Before reaching the tarn, take a right turn toward Arild’s Place at lower Strandtjenn—a great spot for a break. From there, a pleasant trail continues through Bjønndalen and up to Havfjell. An alternative route is a loop around Bufjell, about 8 kilometers long, with a well-marked and even trail the entire way. From Bjønndalen by Bufjell, there’s an old tractor road that is believed to have crossed the moor, but it has since become overgrown. At the top, you’ll find a trig point.
